- Kettering College is a coed college located near Dayton, Ohio, that offers certificate programs, two-year associate’s degrees, bachelor’s degrees, a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies, and an Occupational Therapy Doctorate.
- Eugene W. Kettering, son of inventor Charles F. Kettering, and his wife Virginia W. Kettering founded the college and its owner, Kettering Medical Center. He gave the medical center and a future college 35 acres of his family’s land.
- The college’s first freshmen class enrolled in 1967 with about 100 students. We now have over 800 students who want to make the world a better place by helping others heal. The Seventh-day Adventist Church established the college.
- Our purpose is to assist our students in achieving their full potential while they are with us. Everything about Kettering College is designed to make learning joyful, productive, and mission-driven. Students flourish personally and professionally in this rigorous educational environment.

Admission requirements
- A minimum GED score of 170 (46/460 if taken before 2015) or a cumulative high school GPA of 2.3.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.3 in college is required.
- A composite score of 19 on the ACT or a cumulative score of 995 on the SAT (1350 or above if SAT was taken before March 2016). All applicants who have graduated from high school or acquired a GED within the last five years must provide a test score.
- The ACT’s written section is not necessary.
- Applicants who have earned at least 24 units of college credit from a regionally accredited college or university following high school graduation do not need to take the ACT or SAT.
- Applicants from countries other than the United States are exempt. (For more information, see the Academic Bulletin’s section on International Students.)
- Before the file may be examined by the department and the admission committee, several departments ask applicants to take the math placement test or demonstrate transfer credit that meets the math core requirement.
