The Authorities of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH has announced the date of the matriculation of all freshers/newly admitted students for the  academic session.

All fresh students and the entire university community are hereby informed that the matriculation ceremony has been scheduled on Wednesday 23rd June, 2023

LAUTECH Matriculation Ceremony Programme of Events

8:00a.m – Fresh students assemble in front of the Great Hall 8:30a.m – All Fresh students take their seats in the Great Hall

The Representatives of the Student Union take their seats as will be indicated to them by the Principal Assistant Registrar, Admissions and Undergraduate Records Unit.

8:50a.m – The Head of Departments take their seats as will be indicated to them by the Principal Assistant Registrar, Admissions and Undergraduate Records Unit.

9:15a.m – The Deputy Registrar, Senate & Examinations leads the

procession of the Ag. Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Bursar, University Librarian, Chairman Committee of Provost and Deans, Provost College of Health Sciences and all Deans to taken their seats.

The Assembly will sit.

9:20a.m – LAUTECH Anthem

9:25a.m – Introduction of dignitaries on the High Table (Principal Assistant Registrar, Public and Alumni Relations Unit)

9:40a.m – The Registrar stands and invites the Ag. Vice Chancellor to declare the Matriculation Ceremony open by saying;

“Ag. Vice Chancellor Sir, you are invited to declare the 2023 Matriculation Ceremony open”

9:45a.m – The Ag. Vice Chancellor rises to declare the Matriculation Ceremony open by saying;

“I declare the Matriculation Ceremony for the 2023 Academic Session Opened”

9:50a.m – The Registrar stands and invite, in turn, Provost of the College of Health Sciences and the Deans of Faculties to present their students for Matriculation by saying;
“Ag. Vice Chancellor Sir, the Provost of the College of Health Sciences and Deans of Faculties will present their students for Matriculation”.

9:55a.m – The Provost and Deans of Faculties will then call on the matriculating students in the order set out below, saying;

“Will the matriculating undergraduate students in the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences please stand and remain standing”.

“Will the matriculating undergraduate students in the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences (Medicine and B.Tech students) please stand and remain standing”

“Will the matriculating undergraduate students in the Faculty of Computing and Informatics please stand and remain standing”

“Will the matriculating undergraduate students in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology please stand and remain standing”

”Will the matriculating undergraduate students in the Faculty of Environmental Sciences please stand and remain standing”

“Will the matriculating undergraduate students in the Faculty of Food and Consumer Sciences please stand and remain standing”

“Will the matriculating undergraduate students in the Faculty of Management Sciences please stand and remain standing”

“Will the matriculating undergraduate students in the Faculty of Nursing Sciences please stand and remain standing”

“Will the matriculating undergraduate students in the Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences please stand and remain standing”

10:10a.m (i) The Registrar will lead the students in reading the Oath of Allegiance (all at once)

(ii) The students after reading through the Oath of Allegiance will bow their heads by affirming their pledge of obedience and loyalty to the University. They will then take their seats.

10:15a.m The Registrar will invite the Ag. Vice Chancellor to recognize the best 100 level student for the 2022 Academic Session and address the Assembly by saying;

“Ag. Vice Chancellor Sir, you are hereby invited to recognize the best 100 level student for the 2022Academic Session as well as address the Assembly”.

The Ag. Vice Chancellor rises to recognize the best 100 level student for the 2023Academic Session and address the Assembly.

10:30a.m The Registrar will invite the Ag. Vice Chancellor to declare the Matriculation Ceremony closed by saying;

“Ag. Vice Chancellor Sir, you are hereby invited to declare the 2023 Matriculation Ceremony closed”

The Ag. Vice Chancellor rises to declare the Matriculation Ceremony closed by saying;

“I hereby declare the Matriculation Ceremony for the 2023 Academic Session closed”.

10:35a.m – National Anthem

10:40a.m – The procession will be in Reverse Order

The Assembly will stand and remain standing until the procession has left.

NOTE: All concerned are expected to download the programme (click here to download and print) and bring same to the Matriculation ceremony venue.

LAUTECH Matriculation Ceremony Dress Code for all Fresh/Newly Admitted Students for 2022 Session.

I have the directive of the Chairman Orientation Committee, Prof. L. A. Jimoda to inform all Fresh Students that to be admitted into the venue of the matriculation ceremony, all concerned must dress formally as any improperly dressed matriculating student will not be admitted into the venue of the ceremony.

All concerned are therefore directed to adhere strictly to the above to avoid being locked out of
the venue of the ceremony.

To this end, all male Matriculating students are to preferably put on Black Trousers and White Long Sleeve Shirt with Maroon Color Tie while their female counterparts are advised to put on Black Skirt and White Shirt with Maroon Color Neck Scarf.
