Who is eligible for NSFAS funds?

If you are a South African citizen planning to study at a public university or TVET colleges and you fall into one or more of the following categories, you are eligible for an NSFAS bursary:

SASSA grantees in total.
Applicants with a combined household income of less than R350 000 per year are eligible.
The total household income of disabled people shall not exceed R600 000 per year.
Students who began their studies prior to 2018 and whose annual household income is less than R122 000.

1) At https://my.nsfas.org.za/mynsfas/selfservice.html, the applicant must create a myNSFAS account.

When making an account, you must supply the following information: username, password, ID number, cellphone number, and email address.

2) You can then log in with your chosen username and password.

3) Click the “apply” button to finish the application form.

4) Keep in mind that you can submit electronic versions of your supporting documents once you’ve filled in all of the needed information.
