ISFAP Bursary

The Ikusasa Student Financial Aid Programme (ISFAP) was formed with the aim of financially assisting poor and middle income university students to afford their tertiary fees.

Coverage Value

Bursaries will cover the following expense: tuition fees, books, accommodation, meals and a monthly stipend. Students will also receive support by their on campus ISFAP programme manager.

Eligibility & Requirements

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

South African citizen
Completed Matric
Good academic record
Have been accepted to studying at one of the following participating Universities: University of Johannesburg, University of the Witwatersrand, University of Pretoria, University of Cape Town, Stellenbosch University, University of KwaZulu-Natal, Walter Sisulu University, University of Venda, Nelson Mandela University, Central University of Technology, Tshwane University of Technology
Have been accepted to studying towards one of the aforementioned qualifications (1st year undergraduate studies only)
Will be starting your first degree in 2019
Family household income is not more than R600 000 per annum
