Biochemistry Industrial Chemistry	Five credits at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Biology. UME subjects are: English, Chemistry, Mathematics and any of Physics Geography, Agricultural Science or Biology.

GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Admission shall be open to all, irrespective of gender, race, religion or political leanings. Applicants must satisfy all faculty and departmental requirements. A prospective candidate must not be less than 15 years of age.

Admission into the undergraduate programmes of the University would be either through the Universal Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) or by Direct Entry (DE) as organised by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). However, 90% of applicants will be admitted through the UTME, while the remaining 10% will be by Direct Entry.

O’Levels: The candidate must have not less than five credit passes (at one sitting) or six credit passes (at two sittings ) in Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) or General Certificate Examination Ordinary Level (GCE, ‘O’ Level) organised by the West African Examination Council (WAEC) or the National Examination Council (NECO), including English and Mathematics. Credit passes in English Language and Mathematics for all categories of students seeking admission is mandatory. Moreover, each candidate is expected to have an acceptable score in the UTME. Post-UTME screening will be conducted for interested all interested candidates to ensure that only the best students are admitted as well as to maintain high educational standards.

Direct Entry: As from the second phase of development, General Certificate Examination Advanced Level (GCE A’ Level) holders with a minimum of 9 points plus ‘O’ Level English and Mathematics, OND with a minimum of credit pass; or graduates of recognised related programmes may be considered for a direct entry.

ELIGIBILITY

Candidates that qualify to participate in the screening exercise are:

Those who are seeking admission into 100 Level and scored the prescribed cut-off mark.
Those who are awaiting SSCE, NECO, GCE or NABTEB results are also eligible to participate in the screening exercise.
Those who are seeking admission into 200 Level (Direct Entry) and who possess minimum of 2 passes in relevant subjects at Advanced Level or JUPEB/IJMB
Those who are seeking transfer into 200 Level from other Universities
Those who scored less than prescribed cut-off marks in theUTME or who did not sit for the 2021 JAMB UTME are eligible to enroll for the 8 month JUPEB Programme that will qualify them for admission into 200 Level, through Direct Entry.

SCREENING SCHEDULE

Candidates seeking undergraduate admission into Precious Cornerstone University (PCU), Ibadan as their University of Choice including Direct Entry candidates, those seeking admission via change of institution and transfer, are formally invited to attend the 2021/2022 screening exercise on Mondays to Fridays, between 8.00 am and 4.00 pm.

SCREENING REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must bring to the Screening Centre, the following documents viz.

Two (2) Recent Passport Photographs
Original copy of Birth Certificate
Print out of the 2022 JAMB UTME Result Slip
Copies of academic result Ordinary Level Result, JUPEB, IJMB or equivalents (If Available)
Writing Materials
School Testimonial of last school attended by the applicant
Reference Letter from a well-known/reputable public figure to vouchsafe candidate’s good character and conduct
Evidence of Processing/Screening fee payment
